Transformation- DAY 1

I have decided I am going to do a day to day blog of my health plan. I have been eating unhealthy for about 9 months now, and I am ready to take the step to get healthy again. On top of that there are a few things that I have decided I would like to do that I have always wanted for myself. Number 1- orthodontics. I would like to have a nice smile. I know I don't have a terrible smile- and my teeth aren't too badly aligned- but it's always been something in the back of my mind that secretly drives me nuts. Some people may call this a little superficial- but I am sure many people can relate to that one thing that always bother's them that nobody else really truly sees.

My first step for the orthodontics will be a phone call to my dentist this week.

My first step toward my health plan is increase movement 4x/week- 3o minutes per day. It is a small step that I hope to increase. My food changes will be easy- I am just going to watch my plate- 1/2 with veggies, 1/4 with a lean protien, and 1/4 with whole grains (for dinner), fruits / veggies and low cal for lunch, light snacks, and coffee and my favorite 100 calorie bagel thin for breakfast. My plan is to upload pictures of my meals daily and report progress. Simply for my own motivation. Also, later today- hopefully I can get a "Before" picture of myself up here!
